Sunny had pulled a seven year stretch in Chino for armed robbery. He was a two-striker, having beat up a girlfriend a few years before that. His next felony would send him to the big house for life, under California’s Three Strikes law. Most might think someone with two strikes would be extra careful and try to avoid trouble at all cost. Not Sunny. The threat of a third strike only made him more ruthless, more reckless. Put simply, the possibility of life in prison just made him more dangerous. The criminal justice system hadn’t “reformed” him, it had made him more determined than ever to not get caught. At any cost. He would silence anyone he needed to, in order to protect himself and his brothers in the MC. And if he somehow slipped up and Johnny Law came after him, he wouldn’t be taken alive. Nor would he hold quarter with his pursuers.
