Austin’s home in Riverside, CA is a small, single-story Craftsman style house on Burlwood Street, in the Wood Streets neighborhood just south of Downtown. The house has a wide front porch, perfect for an after-work drink or a late-night smoke. There is a single detached garage at the back of the property, at the end of a driveway that passes along the side of the house, and a service alley behind the back fence. It was Austin’s boyhood home, where he and his cousin Hank Stone spent hours playing in the yard and out in the street. Austin inherited the house when his father, Wayne Conrad passed away in 1989, and it became his primary residence when he left the US Army . Hank Stone rented the home from Austin for a couple of years after Wayne passed, as Austin was mostly overseas and rarely used it.
